Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy encourages hand washing with an at-home experiment (video)

Beyoncé 's daughter Blue Ivy Carter is urging people to wash their hands as much as possible amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The singer's eldest child, eight, even made an educational at-home video with her grandma Tina Lawson to share with her followers.

The rare clip shows Blue Ivy's experiment demonstrate how soap repels dirt.

She explained: "I have this little DIY experiment that you can do at home, too."

The eight-year-old's hands can be seen working away as the clip films her from above the kitchen counter.

She continued: "I have a mixture of a lot of different types of soap inside of this. And this is the coronavirus, or any virus– it’s actually just pepper."

Blue then applies soap on her hands, and demonstrates just how important it is to do so, before putting one finger into the water mixture which then repels the pepper flakes, sending them to the edges of the plate.

Little Blue added: "If you wash your hands, your hands will stay clean. But if you keep your hands dirty, you might get sick."

Beyoncé's mum Tina shared the video on her Instagram, writing: "Blue's PSA."

She added: "My brilliant granddaughter Blue did this experiment to show how washing your hands fights the virus."
