Ivanka Trump's personal assistant has tested positive for coronavirus, CNN reported on Friday night, citing a source familiar with the matter.
The assistant is asymptomatic, has been working remotely for the past two months and was tested out of caution, the source told CNN.
Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump both tested negative for the coronavirus on Friday, CNN said.
Earlier on Friday, Vice-Presidential Press Secretary Katie Miller, who is also the wife of White House Immigration Advisor Stephen Miller, tested positive for COVID-19.
Both President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are tested daily for the virus.
News of Miller’s positive test delayed Pence’s scheduled departure Friday to Des Moines, Iowa, for more than an hour, and several staffers who had been in contact with her left the plane.
On Thusday, US President Donald Trump's personal valet tested positive for the coronavirus.
US Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Stephen Hahn is in self-quarantine for a couple of weeks after coming in contact with Miller.
Upon hearing the news of Miller's infection, Hahn immediately received a coronavirus test which returned a negative result. However, he will remain in quarantine for the next two weeks as a precautionary measure.
