Mum who says she 'makes love' to husband with son in the room hits back at criticism

A mum who faced backlash after sharing a post about "love-making" with her husband while their baby is in the same room has responded to the criticism.

Australian artist Sally Mustang had shared a post on Instagram explaining that she 'makes love' to the father of her son while the child is in the room, and questioned why something 'natural' was deemed unacceptable by society.

Some of her followers and other social media users criticised her, telling her it's "inappropriate" for children to be subjected to "adult topics" and the post was later deleted.

Sally has since addressed the response, arguing that it's "natural" to get intimate with her husband with their child nearby and moved to clarify what she meant by 'love making', as reported by the Daily Star.

She told her followers in an Instagram story: "Hey everyone, please note I have worked and studied a lot with s,e.x and s.e.xual trauma.

"In noooo way am I subjecting my son to this so if you have had a hard story when it comes to s.e.xuality, I’m really sorry this happened for you and am sending you love from my heart.

"I understand that your projections will be deep and probably judgemental on me.

"When I say love-making it means making out, massage and anything me and Mitch define as love together.

"When I say [her son] was present I also mean he is asleep, moved to the other side of the bed. (I wonder how many other new parents have done this?! Kissed and cuddled while Bub is asleep).

“He could be playing on the rug with his toys, while we are away on the couch.

“Our house doesn't have any rooms that aren't connected so basically we are in one big room in our house. (We don’t sit him down and make him watch us AT ALL).

"What I meant when posting last night is that free love should be shared freely, we should kiss and touch our loved ones."

She said she hoped her post would "encourage freedom" among other parents but said she apologised if it hurt anyone's feelings.

Sally said she deleted the post due to "some really bad energy" and attacks on her family.
