Friends mourn 36-year-old lecturer killed at LG Chairman's house on Christmas eve

Friends have taken to social media to mourn the death of a 36-year old lecturer, Dr. Major Walter Anma Isa, who was shot dead by gunmen on Christmas Eve at the residence of Katsina-Ala Local Government chairman, Alfred Avalumun Atera, on Thursday, December 24.

Unknown gunmen had stormed the chairman's house on motorcycles and gunned five people down -- Dr Isa was among.

Among the other four gunned down were three policemen.

Until his death, Isa lectured at the College of Education Katsina-Ala.

Recall that three policemen and one other person were killed in the attack. The council boss who was at his residence at the time of the attack escaped death narrowly as he was smuggled out during the exchange of fire with the private security man.

He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, December 30 in his hometown, Ukwongo, Utonkon, Ado Local Government Area of Benue state. 

His friends are however mourning him on Facebook.

The unbelievable news of your untimely demise in the early hours of today ransacked my entire being today, leaving me so numb. I still waited this evening for your usual coming but only to be assured that I will wait forever and u will never come again as usual.

What a life that we can't tell the event of the next minute. What an empty smile saying I can't be with u again. My heart is pained. My spirit is weak. My soul is drab.

Isa Major, the entire reflection of thoughts about you are characterized by that welcome smile from you face that is visible from every side of your face but we are reciprocating it this evening with a flow of TEARS. WHAT A LIFE WE ARE LIVING, BULLETS FLYING IN EVERY STREET AND CONNER AND WE ARE DYING FOR NO REASON.
